Are Ready-to-Fruit blocks worth it?

Yes, if you want mushrooms without building a full lab. Our ready-to-fruit blocks arrive colonized so you can start fruiting at home with humidity, fresh air, and light - no misters required. Shop Ready-to-Fruit Mushroom Blocks.

How long until harvest?

Usually 1-3 weeks after you start fruiting conditions, by variety: pink oyster fastest, blue oyster mid-range, lion's mane slowest. Most ready-to-fruit blocks can produce more than one flush.

How do I care for a block?

Keep humidity and fresh air steady so the block surface stays moist. Give indirect light and comfortable room temperatures. No misters required.

When do I harvest?

Harvest when mushrooms are mature, before they drop heavy spores or start to soften. Follow the timing for your variety.

Made to order - when do you ship?

Blocks are made fresh to order and typically ship in 1-2 weeks. That keeps quality high versus long refrigerated shelf stock.

First-flush guarantee?

Yes on our standard ready-to-fruit blocks when you follow the directions.

What varieties do you offer?

Blue oyster, lion's mane, golden oyster, and pink oyster on the retail ready-to-fruit page.

Can I buy wholesale?

Wholesale is separate from retail. Request an account via our Wholesale Accounts page.

What if the block stops fruiting?

Many growers bury spent blocks outdoors for a chance at more mushrooms, then compost. Blocks are not reusable as a sealed fruiting unit after they are spent.
