About Allen and Fungi Farm

Allen Carroll is a mushroom educator and laboratory operator at Fungi Farm. He studied crop, soil, and environmental science at Auburn University and is a former president of the Alabama Mushroom Society. He developed Alabama's first wild mushroom identification certification, now administered by MushroomTek and recognized in Alabama and Georgia.

We make our ready-to-fruit mushroom blocks in Dadeville. On the tour you will see how blocks are made, ask cultivation questions, and may purchase a Ready-to-Fruit block to take home the same day.

What to expect

A guided walk through the farm covering how we make ready-to-fruit blocks, growing practices, and time for your questions. Ready-to-Fruit blocks are available for purchase during the visit. Our public storefront is also open Monday-Friday, 10 AM-3 PM for walk-in purchases of ready-to-fruit blocks and cultivation supplies.
