About Allen and Fungi Farm

Allen Carroll is a mushroom educator, laboratory operator, and owner of Fungi Farm. He studied crop, soil, and environmental science at Auburn University and previously served as president of the Alabama Mushroom Society. He developed Alabama’s first wild mushroom identification certification, now administered by MushroomTek and recognized for commercial wild-mushroom work in Alabama and Georgia.

Fungi Farm produces ready-to-fruit mushroom blocks farm-direct in Dadeville. On the tour you will see how blocks are made, ask cultivation questions, and may purchase a kit to take home the same day.

What to expect

A guided walk through the farm covering ready-to-fruit production, growing practices, and time for your questions. Kits are available for purchase during the visit.

Our public storefront is also open Monday-Friday, 10 AM-3 PM for walk-in purchases when you are not attending a scheduled tour.
